Nikos Kavvadias: Dance on the Shark's Fin

A music and spoken-word show built on the poetry of Nikos Kavvadias, with Rita Antonopoulou and Dimitris Fanis, at Strovolos Municipal Theatre.

Kavvadias, the Greek poet of the sea, wrote of voyages, departures and waiting, love and mortality, and the evening draws on his mix of sailors' slang, Kefalonian dialect and everyday Greek. Dimitris Fanis also wrote the linking texts and directs; Neoklis Neofytidis arranged the music and conducts.

The show is part of Strovolos Municipality's Autumn Concerts. All ticket income goes to Roland McDonald House Cyprus, and holders of the European Disability Card come in free with one companion.
