As part of the ArtCargo 2026 festival, this unique production, titled 'On Air', brings contemporary dance, physical theatre, and conceptual art directly into the vibrant setting of Nicosia's Old Town.

What to Expect

'On Air' is an immersive exploration of the modern human experience. Through a blend of expressive movement, voice, and body language, Evi Demetriou invites the audience to contemplate the complexities of living in the public eye. The performance delves into themes of:

• Public Exposure: The feeling of being constantly under the spotlight.
• Social Pressure: How modern media shapes our personal boundaries.
• Authenticity: The masks we wear in our daily lives versus our true selves.

This performance is specifically adapted for an open urban space, creating an intimate yet public atmosphere that challenges the traditional boundaries between the performer and the spectator. It is a thought-provoking opportunity to engage with contemporary art in an accessible, outdoor environment.
