AntiLogos Theater invites you to a compelling stage adaptation of Konstantia Sotiriou’s acclaimed novel, Brandy Sour. This production offers a poignant look at the history of Cyprus, weaving together personal narratives, memories, and the enduring legacy of the iconic Ledra Palace.
This unique performance brings together Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot actors, creating a powerful dialogue on stage. The play is performed in both Greek and Turkish, with subtitles provided to ensure everyone can follow the emotional journey of the characters. Through their stories, the production explores universal themes of identity, loss, belonging, and the ongoing effort to reconcile with the past.
Set in a location deeply connected to the island’s history, the performance takes place in the garden of the Goethe-Institut Cyprus. Situated within the UN buffer zone, right next to the historic Ledra Palace, the venue itself adds a profound layer of meaning to the experience, grounding the play in the very landscape it explores.
Join us for an evening that goes beyond a simple theatrical performance—it is an opportunity to listen to diverse voices, reflect on our shared history, and consider how the events of yesterday continue to shape our lives today.
