About the lecture
Musicologist and lecturer Anna Vilenskaya brings her 2026 tour to Limassol with a talk about jazz. Jazz is a way of arranging a familiar melody, a distinctive style the ear recognises at once. Who came up with it? How do you play so that it sounds like jazz? The lecture covers these questions, the stories of famous jazz musicians and how to tell the types of jazz apart by ear. No musical training is needed.
