Polymnia Charalambous was born in Limassol in 1979.
In 1997–1998, she studied at the Technical University of Athens in the Department of Graphic Design.
In 1998–2003, she studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki.
She has been a member of E.K.A.T.E. since 2003.
She has held three solo exhibitions and participated in 37 group exhibitions in Greece and Cyprus.
Her works adorn private collections as well as public collections, including those of the Ministry of Education and the Presidential Palace.
From March 5 to 7, there will be a solo exhibition by Polymnia Charalambous, an artist for whom the image of women is central and defining in her artistic expression.
In her works, the author views women as a symbol of life, inner strength, and essential depth. Her paintings are distinguished by their purity of composition, expressive emotional tension, and artistic directness. The works seem to address the viewer directly—without distance or convention—creating the effect of a personal encounter and an open gaze.
The artist's main task is to build a deep and focused dialogue between the image and the viewer. This visual "interview" happens instantly: it attracts attention, holds it, and forms a strong, sincere emotional connection.
The charitable nature of the event makes it particularly significant: part of the proceeds from the sale of the works will be donated to the Let's Help organization to support mothers who find themselves in difficult life situations.
The exhibition will be opened on March 6 at 8:00 p.m. by the mayor of Limassol, Mr. Yiannis Armeftis.
