Singing in the Storm: Greek operetta evening by Epilogi

Cypriot classical singers, the Epilogi Cultural Movement Choir and a five-piece ensemble present an evening of Greek operetta by Theophrastos Sakellaridis at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol.

The programme gathers favourite excerpts from The Daughter of the Storm, Pic Nic, I Want to See the Pope and The Godson, along with other popular songs of the era — music full of romance, humour, stage flair and nostalgia. The idea behind the evening: even when a storm rages outside, somewhere there is always a picnic.

Soloists: Margarita Elia, Mariza Anastasiadi, Marios Andreou, Stelios Georgiou, Danae Komodromou, Savvia Iakovou, Andreas Theodorou and Dimitris Sigalos. Direction and script adaptation by Angela-Kleopatra Saroglou, musical direction and arrangements by Michalis Grigoriou. Duration about 70 minutes. Tickets €15, reduced €10.
