Marguerite Yourcenar's prose piece "Phaedo, or Vertigo" is staged as a two-actor play at the Pattihio Municipal Theatre in Limassol, part of the "Great Greek Creators" festival.
Taken from Yourcenar's collection "Fires", it lets Phaedo of Elis tell Cebes about his youth as an athlete, his rescue from slavery and his years as a pupil of Socrates. After summer performances in Nicosia, the production moves indoors for the autumn.
Conceived and directed by Andreas Araouzos, translated into Greek by Ioanna D. Hadjinikoli, performed by Andreas Araouzos and Stavros Dimopoulos. About 45 minutes, in Greek.
