The second Nicosia Alternative Book Festival brings independent publishers, zines and book talks to YALLA Collective Space & Café in Nicosia.
The discussions cover colonialism, anti-colonialism and nationalisms in relation to Cyprus, migration and refugees with migrants taking part, language and power, and capitalism and the Ottoman world.
Among the stalls are Affect Editions, Faura Books, Futura Books, Moufflon Bookstore, Antipodes Publications, Potlatch and Psifides. The festival is self-organised, with no sponsors or city institutions behind it.
