Experience the Magic of Cinema in Larnaca
Join us for the Larnaca Cinema Festival, a vibrant four-day cultural celebration dedicated to the art of film. Organized by the Larnaka Cinema Society with support from the European Capital of Culture initiative, this event brings together movie lovers, families, and aspiring filmmakers for a unique experience across the city.
What to Expect
- Opening Night: The festival kicks off on August 27 with a captivating live performance by the "Aurora" string quartet, featuring iconic soundtracks from cinema history, followed by our first screening.
- City Exploration: On August 28, enjoy a special guided walking tour of Larnaca, perfectly paired with a screening of the film Dancing Queen.
- For Young Creators: On August 29, we are hosting a dedicated filmmaking workshop designed for teenagers aged 11–15, offering a hands-on look at the creative process.
- Diverse Programming: Throughout the four days, attendees can enjoy a curated selection of films and cultural activities held at various locations throughout the city, culminating in our closing event on August 30.
Whether you are a lifelong cinephile or simply looking for a wonderful way to spend your late August days, we invite you to be part of this community-focused celebration of storytelling.
