Step into a unique, temporary hotel experience at the Nicosia Municipal Garden. On September 21, this open-air space will transform into a stage for Brandy Sour, a captivating performance based on the award-winning novel by Konstantia Sotiriou.

What to Expect

This staged reading invites you to the poolside bar of the iconic Ledra Palace Hotel. Through the lens of a simple drink order—be it a classic Brandy Sour, mint lemonade, or zivania—you will be drawn into the intimate lives of those who once gathered there. The performance weaves together the personal histories of Greek and Turkish Cypriots, foreign visitors, and historical figures, reflecting the changing tides of the island’s past.

This is a multi-sensory experience where music, scent, and taste blend with the spoken word to bring history to life in an unexpected way.
