An intimate recital by mezzo-soprano Anousha Nazari and guitarist Antoine Morinière, presented by the Pharos Arts Foundation at The Shoe Factory in Nicosia.
European early music meets the Persian tradition: songs by Handel ("Lascia ch'io pianga", "Ombra mai fu"), Dowland and Barbara Strozzi alongside melodies by the 15th-century Persian composer Abd al-Qadir Maraghi, Domeniconi's "Koyunbaba" and Morinière's own setting of a poem by Rumi.
