Limassol is preparing for the opening of the second edition of the VIMA Art Fair, an international contemporary art fair that continues to strengthen Cyprus' position on the cultural map of the region.
After its debut, the project returns, bringing together galleries, artists, and art industry professionals from different countries.
The fair is held at Warehouse by IT Quarter, an industrial space adapted for exhibition and cultural initiatives. The format includes not only gallery exhibitions, but also the opportunity for direct interaction between artists, collectors, and the general public.
The first edition of VIMA attracted dozens of galleries from Cyprus, Europe, and the Middle East, presenting a wide range of contemporary art, from painting and sculpture to interdisciplinary practices. The organizers continue to develop this international focus, seeking to create a platform for cultural exchange and professional dialogue.
Visitors can view the exhibitions during the three days of the fair. In the previous edition, the admission fee was around €25 (concessions €12), and the opening hours were divided into daytime and evening sessions, allowing both a professional audience and the general public to attend.
VIMA Art Fair is positioned not only as an exhibition event, but also as part of a broader process of developing the local art scene, creating conditions for cooperation and expanding international ties in the island's cultural sector.
