The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra under its artistic director Myron Michailidis brings a Viennese Christmas programme to the Rialto Theatre in Limassol, with soprano Mariza Anastasiades and tenor Dario Di Vietri.
The first half is devoted to songs by Robert Stolz, among them “Zwei Herzen im Dreivierteltakt” and “Wien wird bei Nacht erst schön”. The second brings waltzes, polkas, marches and galops by Johann Strauss I and II, Eduard and Joseph Strauss — including The Blue Danube and the polka “Ohne Sorgen!”.
Two seating zones (€30 and €25), with concessions for students, soldiers, pensioners and large families. The same concert plays in Nicosia the following night.
