The University of Nicosia opens its festive season with a Christmas tree lighting and a Christmas village on its campus on Makedonitissas Avenue in Nicosia.
The tree is lit on Friday 27 November at 18:00 with seasonal music and complimentary festive refreshments, and the village opens straight after. Wooden chalets and stalls sell handmade items, decorations, gifts, sweets, warm drinks and street food.
At the weekend there is entertainment for families: live dance and music, storytelling, face painting, photos with Santa and his elves and a bouncy castle. The celebrations continue with free Christmas film screenings in Discovery Hall from 30 November to 4 December.
