Tigano Kinisi Eco-Festival

Discover the Power of Recycling

Join us for the 3rd Tigano Kinisi Festival, a wonderful family-friendly event dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. This initiative focuses on a simple yet impactful goal: teaching our community how to properly collect used cooking oil for recycling into clean, eco-friendly biodiesel instead of disposing of it down the drain.

What to Expect

It is a fantastic opportunity for both children and adults to learn about green living through engaging, hands-on activities:

• Interactive Science: Visit the 'Tiganokinisi Caravan,' a mobile laboratory where kids can explore the fascinating processes behind composting and renewable energy.
• Creative Workshops: Get crafty with workshops focused on upcycling materials, learn the basics of planting, and enjoy a giant board game designed to teach the importance of water conservation.
• Celebration of Efforts: We will be hosting an awards ceremony to honor the Cypriot schools that demonstrated outstanding commitment by collecting the most used cooking oil throughout the previous academic year.

This event is a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning, combining fun, creativity, and a shared commitment to a greener future for Cyprus.
