The NGO Active Zone Outdoor brings together people with and without visual impairments for hiking, rock climbing and orienteering at the Kourtellorotsos climbing site and in Panagia village, Paphos.
Mixed teams take part, aged 18–35. Participation is free, places are limited and Active Zone Outdoor members have priority; registration is by form.
Climbing is supervised by climbing instructor Giorgos Andreou and support staff. All equipment is provided, transport for participants is arranged, and the organizers offer a cold snack at midday and in the afternoon with soft drinks.
Bring comfortable sportswear, a windbreaker, a raincoat, a fleece, a small 15-litre backpack, water, sunscreen, a cap and a small snack. An outdoor chair or mat is optional.
Co-funded by the Youth Board of Cyprus programme Youth Initiatives, with the support of the ORIENTACTION orienteering club and the School for the Blind.
