Kyriakideia Sports Festival in the Paphos Mountains

Join us for a mountain race in memory of a legend

We invite you to take part in the annual Kyriakideia 2026 sports festival, which will be held in the picturesque mountain village of Statos-Agios Fotios. This event is dedicated to the memory of the great Cypriot marathon runner Stelios Kyriakides, a native of this area whose victory at the 1946 Boston Marathon went down in sports history forever.

What to expect

You will have an amazing opportunity to enjoy the nature of the Paphos region by running along routes laid out among hills and vineyards. The organizers have prepared two distances to choose from:

• 15 km Cross-country: for those who want to challenge themselves on rugged terrain.
• 5 km Road race: an excellent option for fans of asphalt running.

This is a wonderful reason to spend a Sunday morning actively, get inspired by mountain landscapes, and connect with the sporting heritage of Cyprus in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The event is organized by the S.E.V.A.S. Paphos running club in collaboration with the local community.
