Acts We Perform — Queer Wave short films

Acts We Perform is a programme of five short films from the 7th edition of Queer Wave, Cyprus's LGBTQIA+ film festival, screened at Rialto Theatre in Limassol during the Flash Art Festival.

The selection explores performance and performativity: objects, bodies, individuals, collectives and artists grappling with confidence, gender, sexuality and belonging, alongside the normalisation of a genocide and acts of resistance.

• Tuna Tartare (Lena Greene, USA, 2025, 11’) — a karaoke-bar comedy in a post-human Los Angeles ruled by trash
• Kiloran Bay (Michael Bruce, UK, 2026, 14’) — a musical short with Alan Cumming and Jack Wolfe, set in the Hebrides
• Sorry (John Greyson, Canada, 2025, 8’) — a satirical portrait around Eurovision 2024 and the boycott campaigns
• Andro (Dominik Gasser, Georgia/Germany, 2025, 27’) — queer protest artist Andro Dadiani on the streets of Tbilisi
• Our Joyful Endings (La Fille Renne, Levon Babayan, France, 2025, 6’) — a transmasculine diary of transition

Curated by Queer Wave festival director Diego Armando Aparicio Elia. The films are in English, Georgian and French, all with English subtitles; total running time 70 minutes. One film contains sexual content (15+). A €30 festival pass is also available.
